Brought in my father's old Seiko that had not run for nearly eight years. They explained exactly what the assessment showed and what the revival would involve. The watch came back running well, and the care notes they gave me at collection were genuinely useful.

The crown on my watch had gone loose and was slipping whenever I tried to set the time. Repair took about five days. The price was as quoted, no additions. It winds and sets properly now. The only thing I would mention is that the workshop is easier to find if you check the address before you go — I drove past it the first time.

Had the service and refinish package done on a watch I wear daily. The movement work was what I needed most, but the case came back looking much better than I expected — clean and consistent without that over-polished look some shops produce. Happy with how it turned out.

I was a little uncertain about bringing in a watch I had owned for a long time, but the drop-off conversation put me at ease. They explained the assessment findings clearly, answered my questions without rushing, and the watch has been running reliably since collection.

Reasonable turnaround on the crown repair. They called me when the replacement part arrived and kept me updated. I appreciated that there was no pressure to do additional work — they mentioned the movement was a bit slow but said it was within range and left the decision to me.

The service and refinish on my husband's watch was done well. He had been putting it off for years. The written record they gave at collection was a nice touch — it listed what was cleaned, what was replaced, and the timing result. That kind of documentation is not common.

A Closer Look at Three Jobs
A few examples of what the work actually involves, from the customer's perspective.
A Watch Inherited from a Grandmother
The Situation
A customer brought in a small dress watch that had been in a box for around twelve years. The movement was completely stopped. They were unsure whether it was worth spending money on, and wanted an honest assessment first.
The Work
After the written assessment, the customer chose the Long-Stored Watch Revival. The movement was cleaned and gradually brought back into running condition over ten days. A worn mainspring was replaced during the process.
The Outcome
The watch came back running consistently within reasonable range. The customer now wears it regularly. They said the most helpful part was being told honestly at drop-off what the risks were before committing to the work.
"They did not oversell what they could do. That was actually reassuring."
A Daily Wear That Had Drifted Out of Accuracy
The Situation
A mechanical watch the customer wore every day had become noticeably slow — losing about three to four minutes each day. It had not been serviced since purchase roughly six years earlier.
The Work
The Service and Refinish Package covered a full movement service, lubrication, and regulation. The case had light surface marks which were addressed during the refinish. Total time was just under three weeks.
The Outcome
Timing at collection was within acceptable range for the movement. The customer reported that six weeks on, accuracy was holding and the watch looks noticeably better on the wrist.
"The case looks better than when I first bought it. They kept the brushed areas brushed, which I was glad about."
A Secondhand Buy with No Service History
The Situation
A watch purchased secondhand had an unknown service history. It ran, but the crown slipped when winding and the timekeeping was erratic. The buyer wanted to know what state it was in before deciding whether to keep it.
The Work
Assessment confirmed the crown and stem needed replacement, and the movement was overdue for service. The customer agreed to the Service and Refinish Package with crown and stem repair included in the same job.
The Outcome
The watch came back with all functions working correctly. The customer decided to keep it and has been wearing it daily since. The written service record they received is now the start of its documented history.
"Having a proper record of the service feels like owning the watch properly for the first time."
